CAPI Module

In a Computer Assisted Personal Interview (CAPI) interview, an interviewer reads the questions from the computer and enters the respondent's answers into the computer.

CAPI Control Files

Before collecting data using the CAPI Module, you need to build a CAPI Control File (*.QPI). This file is used by the CAPI Data Collection Module to administer a CAPI interview or form. Interviewing staff do not need access to the Design Studio to conduct interviews. See Building a CAPI Control File.

CAPI control files have the file extension .QPI and are type QDS Personal Interview Control file.
